This grand 19th century French table clock
is of monumental size. It measures 28" high x 14 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" deep. It is made of solid gilt bronze and is decorated on all four sides. The upper part of all four legs are embellished with the face of Bacchus, the mythological Greek god of the fertility of nature... also known as the god of wine. The feet of the clock are hooved and there are female masks on both the front and back of this piece. The bronze houses an eight day movement which is in running and working condition.
